Rhode Home Rescue
Who are we?
Rhode Home Rescue specializes in rescuing dogs from unhealthy situations – be it kill shelters, incapable owners, and surrenders – and finding them the furever homes they deserve. At Rhode Home, we fully believe that adopting a rescue not only save them, but saves you too!

Our Organization
Rhode Home Rescue is an all volunteer, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization whose volunteers have many years of rescue experience. Our mission is to identify and rescue all types of dogs from overwhelmed euthanasia shelters and abusive situations and place them in secure, loving homes. We are a foster-based program, consisting of all volunteers, and have decided to branch out on our own in order to fulfill our mission.
Prior to a Rhode Home Rescue dog being adopted, each dog undergoes an examination by a veterinarian, is updated on all age appropriate vaccinations, spayed or neutered, and micro chipped. At Rhode Home Rescue we firmly believe that a healthy, well trained dog is the key to the successful integration of a rescued dog and ensures a wonderful, loving companion for years to come.
The average cost to rescue a dog in 2012 was $720. Rhode Home Rescue is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization and 100% of donations and fees are used for the rescue and care of these dogs!

I adopted Brock aka Elvis (Lab/Retriever Mix) with them. The adoption went easy and smoothly. They were very helpful and encouraging with the process. I was pre-approved with them before I went and all I had to do was to fill out a quick form via phone app. Donated via PayPal. I've had Brock for nearly a month now and he's been great. So happy with him and how everything went. Highly recommend this rescue!

I had the best experience adopting my Cody! People were concerned because he was a nipper! I am happy to say we have not had an issue with any of my family and friends. The volunteers are genuinely concerned that it be the right match. Thank you so much for my new BFF🌹❤️

I have been a foster mom for Rhode Home Rescue for the past year. I am so grateful that I applied to this organization to foster. Everyone involved is so dedicated and devoted to every dog in their care. They make sure they find the perfect fit for each dog. I love helping out and making a difference in a dog’s life. Although it is hard to give up a pup that I have grown attached to, I know in my heart that RHR has worked hard to find each pup a wonderful “furever” home! If you are considering fostering, this is the Rescue group to apply to!
